Calgary Laserworks can help you manage the overwhelming effects of stress & anxiety

Most of us have many responsibilities and worries, especially during these uncertain times. If we don’t manage our worries well, we leave our emergency stress response turned “on” most of the time. The more your body’s stress system is activated, the harder it is to shut off.

Chronic stress disrupts nearly every system in your body and can lead to serious health problems. It can raise our blood pressure, increase the risk of heart attack and stroke, and suppress our immune systems. Not to mention it can speed up the aging process, and really, who needs that?!

Managing stress in our lives is all about taking charge and being in control of our thoughts, our emotions, our schedule, our environment (even in our current circumstances), and the way we react to and ultimately handle our issues.

Calgary Laserworks will help you manage the overwhelming effects of stress and anxiety and empower you to live a healthier, happier life…without meds!

This May long weekend will look a little different

With the Victoria Day Weekend approaching, there are still many public health restrictions in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and many businesses and services will be closed.

Unfortunately it won’t be May long weekend cottage life and camping as usual either as all National and Alberta parks are closed to visitors and Parks Canada is recommending to ‘stay home’. If you are planning on heading out, be sure to check your local area rules and regulations beforehand.

Even though our weekend dreams may be dashed, it’s important to remember that these circumstances aren’t forever. There will be many more long weekends ahead to enjoy when safe to do so, and with everyone working together to get through this, hopefully that time isn’t in the too distant future. Let’s do our part and make the best of our uncertain times.

In the meantime, it’s going to be a gorgeous summer-like weekend and the perfect time to engage in activities that help you relax, decompress and reduce stress and anxiety.

Have a safe and relaxing long weekend.

Coronavirus leaving you feeling stressed, anxious, depressed?

Living in these uncertain and challenging times can certainly leave you struggling with fear and strong emotions you’ve never experienced before. Trust me, you’re not alone. It’s normal to be anxious and feel that your mental health has been impacted by the spread of a pandemic virus. The best thing you can do if you’re feeling overwhelmed is use tools available to help you cope. That’s where the calming nature of cold laser therapy comes in.

Stress and anxiety can interrupt the smooth flow of energy throughout the body and cold laser therapy has been shown to help the energy flow smoothly. A soft laser beam is applied to specific energy points on the body. The procedure is non-invasive, non-thermal, safe, and pain-free. By targeting energy points associated with stress and anxiety you will feel the tension leave your body. Laser therapy is known to decrease heart rate, lower blood pressure and relax the muscles, ultimately reducing stress and lowering anxiety.

Calgary Laserworks can help you manage the overwhelming effects of your virus-related stress and anxiety. Contact us today to put your name on our list for an appointment when business resumes.

“Staying home appears to be vital in stopping the spread of the virus and reducing the number of people infected…enforced social distancing more quickly or more aggressively appear to be more successful at “flattening the curve.” ” By Rachel Werner & David Grande for The Washington Post

We’ll eventually move beyond this virus but in our current reality we have to take good care of ourselves and each other. If we all do our part and continue to follow the experts’ recommendations, our “new normal” has the potential to help us get through this health challenge more quickly.

Don’t doubt yourself – quit in 2020 – you CAN do it!

“Life’s vibrant hues are way too beautiful and precious to be distorted by the smoke of cigarettes.” – Anonymous

You know the health risks of smoking but that hasn’t stopped you. In fact, you’ve been thinking and even talking about quitting for years. Well don’t feel guilty. You’re definitely not alone. Nicotine is powerful stuff. Many people try to quit smoking several times before they kick the habit for good.

At Calgary Laserworks we use a low level laser (cold laser) instead of needles to target key energy points on the body. These points are found around the ears, nose, hand and wrist, and when stimulated endorphins – the body’s natural feel-good hormones – are released. This endorphin release has a calming, relaxing effect on the body which helps to reduce or eliminate nicotine cravings and the desire for cigarettes, as well as withdrawal symptoms.

In addition to stimulating an endorphin release, the laser stimulates the body’s natural ability to detoxify the nicotine, helping you through the nicotine withdrawal more quickly.

Low level laser treatments are a safe, non-invasive, pain-free, drug-free and highly effective solution that will help you quit smoking for good.
