COVID-19 still stressing you out?

This current environment that we’re living in can really take its toll on our systems and consequently our quality of life. Since at least 75% of all our health problems can be linked to nervous stress, reflexology is a valuable tool for supporting the well-being of anyone and a therapy you may find especially helpful during these trying times.

Reflexology is a very gentle, non-invasive form of healing that can bring immense relief and dramatic changes. It’s a technique that uses pressure-point massage usually on the feet (but also on the hands and ears). It deals with the underlying principle that these pressure points or reflexes relate to every single cell of the body. The Chinese believe that reflexology stimulates the body into healing itself. By working these reflexes the flow of energy throughout the entire body is restored and assisted in regaining or maintaining balance.

So how can Calgary Laserworks and Reflexology help with your health? Some of the benefits include:

– Helps with relaxation
– Reduces stress & anxiety
– Fights depression
– Lessens fatigue & enhances energy
– Improves blood circulation
– Relieves body pains

If you’re considering a reflexology appointment call 403-301-3730 to arrange your appointment today.

This May long weekend will look a little different

With the Victoria Day Weekend approaching, there are still many public health restrictions in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and many businesses and services will be closed.

Unfortunately it won’t be May long weekend cottage life and camping as usual either as all National and Alberta parks are closed to visitors and Parks Canada is recommending to ‘stay home’. If you are planning on heading out, be sure to check your local area rules and regulations beforehand.

Even though our weekend dreams may be dashed, it’s important to remember that these circumstances aren’t forever. There will be many more long weekends ahead to enjoy when safe to do so, and with everyone working together to get through this, hopefully that time isn’t in the too distant future. Let’s do our part and make the best of our uncertain times.

In the meantime, it’s going to be a gorgeous summer-like weekend and the perfect time to engage in activities that help you relax, decompress and reduce stress and anxiety.

Have a safe and relaxing long weekend.

Coronavirus leaving you feeling stressed, anxious, depressed?

Living in these uncertain and challenging times can certainly leave you struggling with fear and strong emotions you’ve never experienced before. Trust me, you’re not alone. It’s normal to be anxious and feel that your mental health has been impacted by the spread of a pandemic virus. The best thing you can do if you’re feeling overwhelmed is use tools available to help you cope. That’s where the calming nature of cold laser therapy comes in.

Stress and anxiety can interrupt the smooth flow of energy throughout the body and cold laser therapy has been shown to help the energy flow smoothly. A soft laser beam is applied to specific energy points on the body. The procedure is non-invasive, non-thermal, safe, and pain-free. By targeting energy points associated with stress and anxiety you will feel the tension leave your body. Laser therapy is known to decrease heart rate, lower blood pressure and relax the muscles, ultimately reducing stress and lowering anxiety.

Calgary Laserworks can help you manage the overwhelming effects of your virus-related stress and anxiety. Contact us today to put your name on our list for an appointment when business resumes.

Take care. Be safe. Stay strong.

Our office is closed temporarily for the foreseeable future in order to protect the safety of the customers and staff.

“Staying home appears to be vital in stopping the spread of the virus and reducing the number of people infected…enforced social distancing more quickly or more aggressively appear to be more successful at “flattening the curve.” ” By Rachel Werner & David Grande for The Washington Post

We’ll eventually move beyond this virus but in our current reality we have to take good care of ourselves and each other. If we all do our part and continue to follow the experts’ recommendations, our “new normal” has the potential to help us get through this health challenge more quickly.
